Overview

Kung Fu Ramen Restaurant 功夫拉面 is a hidden gem nestled beside Snow King Milk Tea & Ice Cream along the scenic beachfront of Station 2, Boracay, Philippines. This Chinese eatery offers a calm dining experience away from the island’s usual hustle, welcoming both locals and tourists seeking authentic flavors with a laid-back vibe.

The restaurant’s main attraction lies in its expertly crafted ramen and noodle dishes. Reviews highlight the Lanzhou noodles and braised beef noodles as standouts, delivering rich, satisfying broths paired with perfectly cooked hand-pulled noodles. The egg fried noodles also garner praise for their balance of texture and flavor — a simple yet expertly executed dish that leaves diners fulfilled.

Beyond noodles, Kung Fu Ramen impresses with its variety of dumplings and dim sum-style offerings. The wontons and fried dumplings have been praised for their freshness and depth of taste, drawing favorable comparisons to popular brands like Din Tai Fung. Vegetarian options, such as spring rolls and vegetable fried noodles, prove that the kitchen caters thoughtfully to diverse tastes without sacrificing authenticity.

The setting balances simplicity and comfort. Although modest, the clean dining area is enhanced by decorative plants and a pleasant atmosphere that promotes relaxation. Diners appreciate the peacefulness, noting the well-maintained space as a welcome contrast to more crowded venues on the island. Service can be a bit slow during off-peak hours, but the quality of food justifies the wait.

Kung Fu Ramen appears ideal for those who prefer unpretentious, genuine Chinese cuisine paired with a tranquil environment. It suits couples, small groups, and solo travelers who want to enjoy a hearty meal close to the beach without the throng of typical tourist spots. It is an inviting choice for anyone eager to explore robust Chinese flavors in Boracay’s vibrant culinary landscape.

While the drink selection may be limited, with no soda or beer currently offered, the focus here remains clearly on the food itself. The consistent positive remarks about the noodles, dumplings, and overall value confirm Kung Fu Ramen as a worthy destination for Chinese food lovers looking for both quality and comfort by the shore.

It seems that we came for lunch a bit earlier than they used to (around 11AM) and waitress was a litle bit confused when we asked for menu. No customers at that time except us. Order took some time to be prepared but was worth waiting. Wanton was great and it was plenty for 2. Dumplings also very good. Strangely no soda drinks or beer. All in all, great chinese food at great price.

We almost didn’t come because we saw there were only seven reviews and we were skeptical, but I was hungry, so we decided to gamble and take a shot at this Chinese restaurant. As a Chinese, I felt I needed to support a Chinese restaurant. It turned out that the Lanzhou noodles and braised beef noodles were really good! I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes. The restaurant environment was better than I thought. You will need to walk inside, and the restaurant is clean and there’re some nice flowers and trees in front of the restaurant

The beef yangchow is a standalone meal and does not need anything on it. It is delicious and really tasty! The dumplings already taste like the xiao long bao from Din Tai Fung (only without the soup inside) so most likely their xaio long bao tastes amazing too! If you don't have the patience to be seated in other crowded places, this is an excellent and comfortable place to dine in.
